Serving on Sunday mornings helps create a welcoming environment where people can encounter God and experience Christian community. Some are up front, while others are behind the scenes. They include:
Our Kids Ministry invests in the next generation by teaching kids about God’s love in a safe, fun, and engaging environment. Volunteers can serve as teachers, helpers, behind the scenes and adminstrative roles, helping kids build a foundation of faith that lasts a lifetime.
*Please Note - Our kids and youth workers are required to be part of HCC for 6 months, submit to a background check, and attend training*
Serving in Youth Ministry means walking alongside middle and high school students as they grow in faith and navigate life’s challenges. Volunteers can help with Sunday evening youth group, lead small groups, assist with events, or simply show up to encourage and invest in the lives of our teens.

Our Men’s Ministry provides opportunities for men to grow spiritually, build authentic relationships, and serve others. Volunteers can help plan gatherings, lead studies, or support projects that strengthen faith and community among men.
The Women’s Ministry creates space for women to connect, encourage one another, and deepen their relationship with Christ. Serving here might include helping with events, leading small groups, or offering hospitality and care to others.
The Parking Lot Team is the first point of contact for many guests on Sunday mornings. Volunteers help direct traffic, greet with a smile, and ensure everyone feels welcome and cared for before they even step inside.
Our Security Team helps create a safe environment for worship and ministry. Volunteers discreetly monitor facilities and assist during emergencies, ensuring that everyone can focus on worship with peace of mind.
Serving in Building and Grounds keeps our church facilities and property in good shape for ministry. Volunteers help with maintenance, repairs, landscaping, and seasonal projects that make our space inviting and functional.
The Meals Team shares Christ’s love through food - providing meals for those recovering from illness, welcoming new children, or supporting events. Volunteers can cook, deliver, or coordinate meals to bless others in practical ways. There is also the ability to help with the cordination of church-wide meals and potlucks.
Community Projects offer opportunities to serve beyond our walls, meeting real needs in our town and surrounding areas. Volunteers might participate in service days, partner with local organizations, or take on special projects that demonstrate God’s love in action. One big area we serve is with our local food pantry, Hume Alliance Ministry.
