21 Days of Prayer - September 22 to October 12, 2025

For 21 days, our church will pray together, walking through the portions of the book of Acts together. We’ll pray for God to move in us, among us, and through us for His mission. Each day, there will be one key verse or passage, one theme, and a prompt for prayer. As you pray, remember: this is not just about your personal walk with God - it’s about how God is shaping us as His people to be on mission together, here and to the ends of the earth.

Day 1 - Mission - Monday, Sept. 22

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” - Acts 1:8, ESV

Pray for boldness and power to be Christ’s witnesses in your own home, workplace, community, and beyond. Ask God to show you specific people you can share Jesus with, and for courage to step into those opportunities. Pray that our whole church family would be a Spirit-empowered witness in Hume and the surrounding area.

Day 2 - Spirit - Tuesday, Sept. 23

“When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” - Acts 2:1-4, ESV

Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you today. Ask for His power to overflow in your actions, words, and decisions. Pray that our church family would be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading, moving in unity and power for the sake of the gospel.

Day 3 - Repentance - Wednesday, Sept. 24

“And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” - Acts 2:38-39, ESV

Thank God for His forgiveness in Christ. Ask Him to show you areas of sin to turn from. Pray that our church family would proclaim repentance and forgiveness boldly, and that many in our community would find new life in Jesus.

Day 4 - Community - Thursday, Sept. 25

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” - Acts 2:42-47, ESV

Pray that you would grow in devotion to God’s Word, prayer, and fellowship. Ask God to deepen your love for your church family. Pray that our church family would live with such love, unity, and generosity that our neighbors see Christ through us and are drawn to Him.

Day 7 - Obedience - Sunday, Sept. 28

“And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, saying, “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.” But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. “ - Acts 5:27-29

Day 10 - Baptism - Wednesday, Oct. 1

And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.” - Acts 8:35-36,38, ESV

Day 11 - Conversion - Thursday, Oct. 2

Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him. And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” - Acts 9:3-6, ESV

Day 13 - Gentiles - Saturday, Oct. 4

“While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles. For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared, “Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.” - Acts 10:44-48, ESV
